On a sunny weekend at Stratford Racecourse, Mini Marvellous Faces joined the MK1 Golf Owners Club for their summer meet-up – a relaxed, community-centred gathering filled with classic cars and smiling faces.
While the event wasn’t the busiest we’ve ever attended, we had a lovely time chatting to families and painting some wonderful little faces. Sometimes, it’s the quieter events that give us the chance to really connect with people – and this was one of those days.
🌟 Superheroes, Rainbows & A Last-Minute Switch
One of our standout moments came when a young boy sat down for just half a Spiderman design – a small, subtle nod to his favourite hero. But when he saw his big brother’s bold, full-face Spiderman design… he quickly changed his mind! 😄🕷️ So we finished the look, and he walked away beaming.

🎪 A Family Feel at Stratford Racecourse
While many guests came to admire the iconic VW Golfs, it was lovely to see children enjoying the simple fun of face painting. The event had a relaxed, friendly vibe – perfect for families to explore, picnic, and take in the atmosphere.
With our calm and gentle setup, little ones could take their time choosing a design, and parents appreciated the quiet creativity we brought to the day.
